Now that we have talked about just how bad Chrysler is actually doing, let’s go ahead and talk about some of the things that you can take advantage of as a buyer.

Well, I can tell you that you can actually get 0% financing right now on most models as well as $1,000 to $1,500 cash back as an incentive to buy. This is honestly available on many, many different models out there.

Another thing that they are offering up right now is lease incentives of $500 – $1,000 on minivan leases and financing deals on any 2008 Dodge Vipers – which is pretty cool huh? Who cares if the car is two years old!

Oh Chrysler, how good you used to be. Do you all remember when Chrysler was actually on top and they were doing incredible? Well, now it is a buyers market and if you are in the market for a brand new car, you might want to stop into a Chrysler dealership – if you can find one mind you.

They are actually cranking up their incentives before the holiday. The reason? The sales are down about 38% over last year. That is something to be scared of when the year is almost over and there is really no way that you can recover from something like that.

Basically – it’s a good chance for you to get the car of your dreams, as long as you get a Chrysler though! More in the next blog about the incentives.

Robert “Maximum Bob” Lutz: How he changed General Motors

In the year 2001, CEO Rick Wagoner of General Motors was in desperate need to fix the car company’s sagging performance in the car industry. During that time, they had closed plants and cut jobs to be able to improve General Motors’ financial status by decreasing the costs. But of course, Wagoner believed that this strategy is no way an effective measure to help the company survive. He knew that General Motors needed a powerhouse to boost product development.

Wagoner decided to talk with Robert “Bob”: Lutz, who in that time has just retired from Chrysler from the position of Vice Chairman in 1999, for some recommendations. He doesn’t know Lutz personally at that time, but he knew Lutz’s reputation as a product czar who put Chrysler’s domain in the auto industry into the pedestal. The talk which is at first to seek recommendations turned out to be having Robert Lutz as General Motors’ vice chairman for product development.

Robert Lutz gained the confidence of General Motors. He stands out with his charisma and awesome performance when it comes to product development. He flies a jet trainer in the form of a Czech L-39 and speaks five languages. He has a total control over product selling. He knows how to meet the client demands and needs in a car and he is doing it so naturally.

Lutz emphasized on his work on quality and substance and it paid off with reviews and responses of flying colors from critics. Today, Maximum Bob decided to leave General Motors, and we here at Autophobic are sure he’ll be missed!
