2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited a tough competitor for Cruz and Focus

The recently launched 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited from the Korean automaker proved to be a worthy competitor to other models like the Cruz and Focus.

Like its big brother, the Hyundai Sonata, the 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited is honed from the same “Fluidic Sculpture” design that boasts of a sleek, stylish profile with an impressive coupe-style roofline. Its front headlights, fog lamps, and rounded fascia are pretty attractive as well as its taillights and hatch-style backend. The redesigned Elantra has new 17-inch aluminum wheels and Continental P215/45R17 tires.

Under the hood is a 1.8-liter V4 engine with 148 HP and 131 lb-ft of torque. The GLS model is attached to a 6-speed manual while the Limited trim could have a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited has EPA figures of 40 mpg on highway and 29 mpg in city driving.

The interiors were also revamped with a now stylish dashboard, leather-treated steering wheel, and comfortable leather seats. There’s also USB ports for your gadgets, Bluetooth Connectivity, and an MP3 player. The 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited also an option for interior upgrade with its Technology Package at $2,100 for a smashing 7-inch LCD touch screen, a 360-watt sound system, rearview camera, and a push button start feature.

The new 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited carries an initial price tag of $22,110, which is close enough to the pricier Ford Focus at $23,680 for its SEL model and the even pricier Honda Civic at $25,754 for the EX-L model.

I may be tooting my own horn, but that topic is kind of intriguing, right?

Maybe a little?

Well whatever, even if you guys don’t think I’m clever, I do, and that’s totally all that matters.

But to the actual point of the topic: this is Hyundai’s new concept, called both the i-Flow and the HED-7 — but mostly called the i-Flow.

Sound familiar? Let me see if I can give you some examples that will ring a bell.

iPhone. iPod. iPad. Get it?

Is this a shrewd marketing ploy? Is the i-Flow cool enough for it to work?

Word to manufacturers: just because you stick an “i” in front of something does not automatically mean it will be successful.

Hyundai Equus Coming To America In 2010

Hyundai is by far one of my favorite brands … what can I say I like the foreign cars. However, when I found out that the Hyundai Equus is coming to America, I almost flipped my lid. This is a car that has been Hyundai’s flagship in Korea for years and now – now it is coming in 2010. It should have not come as a surprise to me seeing as this year, the Hyundai Equus made its first appearance at the Detroit Auto Show this year; however I was still knocked flat.

The cool thing about the Hyundai Equus is that it looks extremely expensive, very regal looking and is by far one of the smoothest drives on any car in the world. It will go on sale in the United States late 2010 and while we do not know the exact name of the car for the US as of right now – the Hyundai Equus is going to be one of those cars that is classic and known throughout the country.

What you can expect from the US version of the Hyundai Equus is a 4.6-liter V8 engine and the power should be pretty intense – as well as the sleek, slender look of this particular car. It’s pretty damn exciting people!
