Autophobic?!

If you are a Corvette fan, you are absolutely going to love this car … well, right now it is a concept car, but soon enough, it will be reality.  Now that GM is out of the pot and into the water with their bankruptcy, they have all sorts of plans for Chevy, Caddy, Buick and finally GMC.  All of which lead back to the plans for GM to introduce the C7 in April of 2012 as the 2013 model.  To be honest, this plan is a much better one over the one of not reinventing the Corvette until 2014.

Let me just state this right up front – as of right now, nothing and I do mean nothing is known about the brand new Corvette, however – it appears that the plans for a mid-engine have been put aside.  Just like all of the Corvettes in the past, the C7 will feature an engine up front driving and wheals out back, however other than that … the info is pretty scarce.

There is some talk about making this particular sports car lighter and much, much faster though nothing is confirmed right at the moment.
