Autophobic?!

Shhh. This is a first peek at Peugeot’s new concept car, the SR1. The renderings of it have only been released pretty recently — well ahead of the date of its intended unveiling, which will take place early in 2010 at the motor show in Geneva.

What do you think? Has Peugeot hit a home run?

I am just a little torn on this.  I mean, I love the car.  It is sleek, its lines and curves are sensual, and it screams of the kind of luxury and richness I myself have come to expect from the Peugeot brand.  On the other hand, it all depends on to whom they will be marketing.

I mean, you have a veritable sports car here, one that looks like quite a few American sports cars, so you have to wonder if the average Joe (or the average Jean, considering) will be able to afford a car like this.
