GM News, Finally, They Are Repaying Their Debts!
Finally, GM has fulfilled their promise and they have issues a very brief press release that they will be delivering on their promise to repay the government back to bailing them out. They also have released that Canada will be next and by the end of the year, both countries will be completely paid off.
GM actually sent $1 billion dollars to the feds and about $192 million dollars to the Canadian government just last week and the rest of the payments will be made by the end of the year – the total? About $6.7 billion dollars.
However, beyond all of that money, GM actually owes the government about 60% ownership as well.
