Porsche gives the Cayenne lineup a more potent GTS with 414hp engine

If you do not like the new Cayenne’s Turbo version but still want the sporty qualities with the added oomph than what the Cayenne S can offer, then you might want to wait for the Cayenne GTS that is set to debut during the motor show in Beijing this month.

The Cayenne GTS uses the same formula as its older sibling and the Panamera GTS which was unwrapped during the Los Angeles motor show las year. The new premium crossover offering will have more horses coming out of its engine and a n improved chassis that gives makes the ride lower.

The Cayenne GTS draws power from the uprated V8 of the Cayenne S with an additional 20 horsepower output which gives it a total of 414 horsepower. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic Tip-tronic S transmission that has an integrated start-stop technology.

The Cayenne GTS can go from 0 to 100 kilometes an hour in a matter of 5.7 seconds and gets to 160 km/h in just 13.3 seconds. The top speed of the Porsche SUV is pegged at 261 km/h. The fuel mileage is said to be 10.7 liters for every 100 kilometers.

The Porsche Cayenne GTS makes use of a modified suspension that utilizes PASM or Porsche Active Suspension Management which can lower the ride height by 24 mm compared to its sibling Cayenne S.

The SUV gets the same design treatment as the Turbo model on its front end. You will also notice the twin-wing roof spoiler, big wheel arches, and side skirts which are very prominent. It rolls on 20 inch RS rims that have unique offset. You can also get the Cayenne GTS in new colors like the Carmine Red and the Peridot Metallic.

The new Porsche Cayenne GTS is set to hit showrooms in Europe by July with a sticker price of 90,774 euros in Germany. Consumers in the United States can get it for $82,050 by August this year.
