Audi implements its 360-degree design philosophy. It is pretty simple when you look at it this way: the new A4 takes served as inspiration for the design lines of 2011 A8; the A8 in turn influenced the form of the 2012 A6; and the A6 provided the DNA for the looks of the new Audi A4. And so on. That pretty much explains it.

So this chain of design influences within the Audi range gives you a good picture of how the 2013 Audi A4 took shape both as a sedan and as the Avant version. This is also true for the A4 Allroad Quattro and S4 siblings.

Just like the improved A5 and S5 models, the reworked A4 models gets the new 6-point grille and headlamps using sharper lines with a narrow band of LED as daytime lights, tweaked tail lights, and redesigned bumpers for the front and rear.

The modifications on the exterior slightly changed the dimensions of the Audi A4. The sedan and the Avant is now 15.42 feet long, the S4 and Allroad Quattro are 15.49 feet long. All of the A4 variants now has a wheelbase of 9.22 feet, the width comes at 6.04 ft and 6.0 ft, and the height pegged at 4.92 ft and 4.63 ft depending on what version you are looking at.

The interior of the new A4 gets a new selection for the steering wheel, steering arm, ignition key, and new color options.

According to Audi, the fuel consumption of the new A4 is lower by 11% even when the torque and power increased.

For the consumers in the United States, the 2013 A4 will get the 4 cylinder 2.0L turbo engine that can output 211 horsepower and a torque of 258 lb-ft. These numbers translates to an acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds with top speed pegged at 155 mph.

The Europe spec A4 has the new TFSI petrol 1.8L powerplant that gives out 170 h and has a tor	que of 236.02 lb-ft. The improved 2.0L TDI is also available for all versions and this one produces 136 hp, 163 hp, and 177 hp. The most aggressive engine of the lineup will be the 3.0L TFSI V6 that gives out 272 hp.

At the moment, Audi in the US only sells two models running on diesel—the Q7 TDI and the A3 TDI. Both of the diesel variants are loved by consumers and the car manufacturer feels the pressure of the high demand.

Fifty percent of the A3 sales in the US comprise of its diesel variant while it is 40% for the Q7. The numbers are similar to how the sales are going in the European market and it seems Audi in the US has taken its cue. Dealers have been giving feedback to the carmaker about the high demand for their diesel variants.

The German car brand needs to boost its diesel line up in North America to keep the market satisfied and also to deal with the stricter CO2 emission standards. Audi recent revealed their plans of adding diesel variants to their line up particularly for the A8 sedan, A6, and the Q5. Come 2015, the next gen A4 will most likely get the 4 cylinder 2.0 TDI

The company is also contemplating on giving the A4 a V6 but is still studying the cost factors which may make the car too expensive for the American market.

Executives of Audi declared that they are aiming to have around 20% of their line up in the US running on diesel by 2015. They are hoping that the spike in diesel variant sales in the United States will also mean an overall improvement in their sales figures in North America. Audi aims to jump up their sales to as much as 200,000 vehicles by 2015.

Like any vehicle on the road a motorcycle needs to be covered with insurance. This is primarily for the safety of other people, if you cause an accident you need to be able to pay for the damage. Because bikes cause so much less damage than cars they are cheaper to insure, which is one of the great advantages of owning a motorcycle. If the advantages of a bike make you decide to run out and get one it is important to remember that bike insurance works a little bit differently than car insurance. For the most part bike insurance and car insurance are the same but there are some important differences that need to be kept in mind. We spoke to Carole Nash Insurance Consultants for an overview.

Bike insurance really isn’t all that different than car insurance, the primary purpose is to protect other people in the event that you cause an accident. This is done through liability insurance which you are required by law to have. This is to pay for the medical bills of any people that you injure and to repair any property that you damage. Like car insurance you can also get insurance to cover the cost of repairing any damage that occurs to your bike or if your motorcycle gets stolen. You also have the option of getting insurance to cover you in the event that you are injured in an accident caused by a driver who doesn’t have insurance.

There are a couple of differences between bike insurance and car insurance, the biggest is that bike insurance doesn’t cover the rider or any passengers. An insurance policy on a car will cover any injuries suffered by the people in the car in the event of an accident, this isn’t true for motorcycles. In order to cover the rider and the passenger additional coverage is required. Because of the likelihood of injury in a motorcycle accident this insurance can be quite expensive, however it would be foolish to ride without it.

Because bikes do less damage to other people in an accident they are normally quite a bit cheaper to insure than cars. The biggest expense to the insurance company is the liability coverage, since the most likely person to hurt in a motorcycle accident is the rider this means there is less liability insurance to pay out. This savings however is largely offset by the need to buy personal injury coverage for the rider and any passengers, since injury on a bike is quite likely this insurance tends to be quite expensive.

The last thing you want is to find out after an accident that there are differences between car insurance and bike insurance. You need to know what these differences are so that you make sure that you have the proper coverage. Otherwise you could end up learning about the differences in a very expensive manner.

Last October, the initial reports went out that the heir apparent of the Esperante is due after a few months. This was followed by a confirmation of the car manufacturer after a few months.

Finally, Panoz gives us a teaser of the upcoming sportscar a few weeks back. The constructor released another cropped image prior to the unveiling of the new vehicle at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The new sportscar will be known as the Abruzzi. The Spirit of Le Mans, as it is also tagged, will feature new technologies by Panoz like the REAMS or Recyclable Energy Absorbing Matrix System and Trifecta Cooling that was developed to beef up efficiency and performance.

The Abruzzi will be unwrapped on June 8, Tuesday at the La Sarthe. The name of the car is also in reference to and the Italian region which was hit by disaster recently.

Just a few more days until the unveiling. So for now, we’ll make do with the teaser of the Panoz Abruzzi.

While this feature is something that may cost a little bit more, I can tell you for sure that you will love it as soon as you get it. Not only does the rearview mirror help you with the things listed above, but it also can assist you with parking.

That way, you never run into someone or something accidentally whenever you are parallel parking.

Well whatever, even if you guys don’t think I’m clever, I do, and that’s totally all that matters.

But to the actual point of the topic: this is Hyundai’s new concept, called both the i-Flow and the HED-7 — but mostly called the i-Flow.

Sound familiar? Let me see if I can give you some examples that will ring a bell.

Is this a shrewd marketing ploy? Is the i-Flow cool enough for it to work?
